Why We Chose Sizzle:
I always recommend people to do their research and talk to a few different vendors to get an idea of what works for you. Choosing Sizzle was an easy choice. We decided to go with Sizzle for these reasons:
1) They always have my best interest in mind while being realistic.
Let's be real here, weddings can get expensive very quickly so you must stick to your budget. They're very transparent about whether or not what we wanted was realistic to our budget.
2) Consultation Process.
I initially emailed Sizzle with Decor to get a quote for my wedding but they instead scheduled a phone call consultation. What I thought would be a quick 10 min call turned into a 2hr call. We went over details of my wedding, decor ideas, things I liked and didn't like. This consultation made me realize there's so much more involved in wedding decor than I had originally thought. I really appreciate the time and patience she had to go over things with me. I didn't feel like another business transaction. She got to know me as a person first and then as a bride.
3) They helped me save money!
During our consultation, they always found small ways to help me save money. For example, I have up lights in both my ceremony and reception room, they suggested I repurpose the lights in my ceremony room to my reception to save. I was also doing a family style dinner and they said to reduce my centrepiece size because it's going to be moved during dinner service anyways.
3) Sizzle is my venue's preferred vendor.
In my opinion, this just makes everything so much easier for me because it makes communication all around smoother. They've already worked with each other and know how things work.
4) Dealing with my personality lool
I'm VERY indecisive so I would often go to her and change my ideas and she never got annoyed, in fact she was always very encouraging. I had a bad experience with a previous vendor where they were very set on their own ideas versus what I wanted...
Things To Know:
I suggest already having an idea of what decor you like to show for reference. They currently do not have an itemize list of decor they have to look online. You'll have to search their website and Instagram to see what they have.

We had our reception on July 23 at Brookstreet Hotel. My engagement was short and in the busiest of wedding seasons.
Estralita was able to find time for me and walked me through the whole process with only a month remaining from my reception.

We had our wedding in July 2017, and our decor was provided by Estrelita and Elias. The decor was beautiful, and all aspects, from planning to the big day, were fantastic.
During the planning phase, they spent a lot of time with us going through different options. What was great is that they were actually able to show us various styles, set-ups, and lighting options live during our visits, as they have a large selection of decor on site. We were then able to edit these demo set ups until it was perfect. They were willing to work with us to meet our budget. Everything went perfectly on the big day. Dear Estrelita and Elias,
First of all, my message to all brides-to-be who are trying to make up their mind now, is that they should not underestimate the importance of a décor and flowers done by professionals! An outstanding décor is really what will bring up the glamour factor that any wedding requires. And that's why based on a friend's recommendation, with the great insistence of my sister, I decided to give it a try! However, my only concern was about some specific colours I wanted for my wedding: yellow mustard and royal blue. We were worried Sizzling Décor could not deliver on this specific color of roses for the centrepieces, bride bouquet, etc... But to our great surprise Estrelita indicated that they could, and the D-Day the flowers were perfect, the exact nuance we had hoped for!!
Many thanks to Estrelita and also to her husband Elias's recommandation for the unique royal blue lighting which gave such a cosy and vibrant atmosphere at the venue (he was right, my husband was so touched by this awesome feature) and to you, the diligent Mastermind behind Sizzle With Décor! They were helpful during the planning of the wedding because I was so stressed! Moreover, budget and deadline were tight, but they made it happen!
And on top off all, they blessed us with a free surprise decoration upgrade! The night before the wedding, we discovered a completely different backdrop from the one we chose. It was so beautiful, classy and beyond our expectations! We also got a beautiful sign saying « Welcome to our wedding » with beautiful white flowers all around the sign.

Hiring Angelita as a day-of coordinator was absolutely one of the best decisions we made when planning the wedding. It was a special blessing to be able to know that Angelita and her assistant were setting up and making sure every detail was in place. My husband and I live in Edmonton, but we are both originally from Ottawa, and our wedding was in the Water Court Foyer of the National Gallery of Canada; I had to plan everything from afar. Instead of an e-mail back from my initial contact, Estrelita picked up the phone and called me within minutes of me sending my inquiry ...where do you find customer service like that?! She spent over an hour with me on the phone explaining the process, asking me what my vision is, what the budget is, finding solutions to get what I want despite it and going through everything in detail. After we hung up, she emailed me everything we spoke about. On that note, she is the only one in Ottawa that has the orchid colour, which was exactly what I had been looking for.
Due to the distance everything was done over phone and e-mail, but the day I arrived to Ottawa. I had an appointment with her to show me everything we had chosen and Elias was there, he was very welcoming and friendly. It was the first time I met her in person, and she is a wonderful lady. While I was there she even helped me with other last minute wedding preparation stuff, and she shared a few of her business contacts with me, which was very generous of her.

My husband and I had a sneak peek of the reception before the guests arrive and we were speechless; and when the guests arrived they complimented on how the room was completely transformed. Working with her was such a pleasure with her positive spirit. Her success comes from her hard work, whatever questions I had, she would e-mail me back no matter the hour. Also, I felt reassured that I was her only bride that day, and that she would be at the venue overlooking everything, this goes to show that she is about quality and not quantity. Sizzle with Decor is the Best!
SWD made our special day absolutely to order. When we came looking for our wedding reception decor we had modest expectations about what we could do with our budget. It was our dream to have a Marie Antoinette French reception, but we didn't know if it could be done. We checked a few places and they didn't have anything close to what wanted. Eventually through a bridal show we ended up talking with Estrelita and Eli of Sizzle with Decor.
The first thing we noted about Estrelita was her passion. She is full of energy and is very detail-oriented.
At our consultation we got down to business right away and we found out the Estrelita stocks fabrics that are way, way better than the usual decorator places. This is the difference folks: she doesn't simply stock linens...she supplies the real fabrics. After seeing so many fabrics we were kind of wondering how much all this was going to cost. This is when we learned the SWD can be very creative to help you fit within your budget. In our case we had around 100 guests, and our reception was in a huge room. We worked with SWD to make sure that it was cozy and everything worked together,
Skip ahead to the day of the wedding, Estrelita and Eli were there at the reception hall before the catering crew; and even before the wedding planner!
This was probably the best part of the decorating. To see what we had paid for was really surprising. I mean, little pictures on a piece of paper don't really do something justice. Long story short, we got exactly the kind of decor we wanted, and it fit well with all the other touches.

In regards to our wedding, we were reluctant to find a decorator at first as we had heard many stories of wedding decor being bland and or not what they had expected. However, after meeting with Sizzle with Decor, we could not be happier. The planning phase was excellent, working with Sizzle with Decor on the color schemes, backdrops, table arrangements and various other aspects.
We cannot express how wonderful it was working with this vendor, as the planning phase and day of arrangements were more than what we expected; everyone at our wedding also commented on how wonderful the place looked. We were extremely happy with the quality of the decor as well as the setup and take down which eased our minds.

We were recommended to them by our coordinator at the National Arts Centre as they have decorated many weddings at this venue. We first met with them in their home, where Estrelita and Elias showed us their wide selection of linen. Although they did not have the same matching shade of pewter for table runners and chair sashes that we wanted, they special ordered them for us to ensure everything would match perfectly. The NAC has wide chairs that don't fit certain chair covers. Sizzle with Decor had ones that fit perfectly.
Estrelita and Elias worked within our budget and presented us with options that would work. They were never pushy and offered helpful suggestions based on our ideas. They are very experienced and you can rest assured they will get the job done.
Of all the vendors we hired for our wedding, Sizzle with Decor provided us with the most reassurance. We knew that they would do what they promised to do and they would do it well.
Estrelita and Elias proactively followed up with us to keep us posted on the order status of the linen - we never had to chase them down.
They are also quick to respond to any emails or phone calls.

The whole room was fantastic --- with the floor lighting, the recommendation to get red light bulbs for the light fixtures and the battery-operated tea lights and the referral to a wonderful florist!

This Canada Day Weekend my sister's best friend married her high school sweetheart. The Wedding was quite possibly one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. When we were in the market of looking for a wedding decorator I emailed and called several different companies for information and quotes. Believe it or not there were many people I contacted whom did not return my call or reply to my email. There was an exception though to one of my inquiry emails, there was just one person who did call back 5 minutes following an email that was sent to them, and that one person was Estrelita from Sizzle with Decor. From the moment I spoke with her I knew that she was a focused, detail oriented, knowledgeable, stylish, and hardworking individual.
The key points that she focused on during our conversation was our budget, our main decor priorities, our venue, and if we had a certain style in mind. She quickly booked us in to see her for a full consultation. Once we arrived at her house, her and her husband Elias were extremely welcoming and friendly. During the appointment, she asked what our preferred colours were and she had given us some ideas on possible styles. By the end of our meeting, my fiancée and I had picked out exactly what we wanted and came to an agreement with a quote that was provided. Leading up to the wedding, we had a couple of meetings with Estrelita and Elias at our Lord Elgin venue.
This venue was a very special one for them as it was their very first decorating contract that they had ever done at that location. Walking into the reception hall on the day of our wedding was completely magical!
Everything we had chosen came together so beautifully; the colours, the lighting, the detail, had brought me to tears! Estrelita and Elias did the most amazing job with decorating the Lord Elgin. The hall looked so glamorous and romantic. I must say that if you choose Sizzle with Decor to be your wedding decorator or decorator for any other event, you will not be disappointed. Estrelita and Elias are very hardworking, knowledgeable, and completely reliable.

When we first met Elias and Estrelita, we knew right away that they were the right fit for us on a personal level.
